Fry's Food Stores Incompetent Management Scottsdale, Arizona
I have been working at Fry's for almost a year now, started in mid-November, 2008. I designated I wanted a full-time job when I applied. I have been scheduled to work full-time hours less than five times in my fifty weeks of employment. Our store is always busy and the grocery/dairy department where I work is constantly understaffed. Management always expects the impossible for the amount of hours scheduled for our department. I typically have been scheduled to work anywhere from 12-25 hours per week and that is not enough to live on. So, Have you earned your increase in hours? Where I work only the eager beavers get the step up. People who work here part time stay part time unless managment feels they are worth full time hours with the increase in benifits and hourly rate. The union I work with can only get someone on full time if the manager oopses and sceduals them full time 4 weeks straight. It only takes 1 in four at less than full time ( 1 hr less) on one week and the union can't fource anything like a full time position. Usually if the boss won't "promote" to full time it means he relly doesn't want you and he hasn't found a way to fire you yet.
