Frys.com, Fry's Electronics Sold a used computer as new Renton, Washington
I purchased a new Sony computer on Dec 29, 2009. Four months later it could no longer read the operating program. I took it to my computer repair shop to see what was wrong.
He did a full forensic recovery of my hard drive by creating a vault on his computer in his shop and recovered what he could off my hard drive for it was toast. I told him to save what excel files he could and put them back on my new hard drive when he installed it.
This was done. There was over 400 excel files transfered to my new hard drive. Problem is, most of those files were not mine. Where did the files come from? From my old hard drive but they were not mine. They were recovered from my hard drive from my "new" computer.
My only conclusion as to why my hard drive went bad after 4 months is I was sold a new computer from Fry's with a used hard drive.
