We purchased a 1 year old vehicle (a 2006 f150) with approx 11K miles on it. We were told it was a 36/3 yr warranty. The salesman (Chuck) didn't say that brakes were only covered for 18k, he had told us it was bumper to bumper, 36k. At 16,500 it vibrated BAD and needed work, Fuccillo turned 2 rotors (said FORD wouldnt let them give us new rotors). that was good until 18,200 when "the cheap fix" didnt hold anymore, and we had another mechanic station check and determine we needed 2 new rotors and pads to get rid of the bad vibration (and it did) . (Fucillo said "sorry, your over 18k now, and no more brake warranty, BUT they did offer to pay half..oddly enough the half they offered to pay was (within $5.00 ) the same TOTAL amount our reliable mechanic did the WHOLE job for). I voiced my opinion and was told "get outa here! I know the lemon law and you don't have a leg to stand on! (by the manager)
A short time later, at 23k it needed the other 2 rotors replaced, as the bad vibration was back again. (by that time it had cost us $1,400 in brake work).
I went back the day after purchase, said I wanted the window sticker, and was told it had been tossed out and no copy available. (I believe that was because what the sticker said and what features were on the vehicle didn't match). One example was the truck came with 18" tires, and the sticker must have said 17, as thats stock and was later proven by the fact that the spare was still a 17". ( It took over 2 weeks to get a spare that would fit).
The truck developed a "shimmy" at 29,000, and after having the tires inspected, our mechanic (NOT Ford) said the tires were "cracking and needed replacing at $800 approx.
I called Fuccilo again, and found out the former manager was "no longer with them", and the new manager apologized, asked for copies of all related bills, I sent them..3 months went by and I was told "he sent them on to "corporate)..well its been 7 months now, and no ones contacted me.
FINALLY, I went to The local Chevy dealer in Geneva. (Mike Barnard) and traded the f150.
At Chevy, We were treated well by Pete, and even though the vehicle needed some work after purchase, (it ws certified used, 12mo/12k warranty) They did it promptly, no argument and didnt try to "get out of it".
What a difference.
My advice? AVOID FUCCILLO FORD no matter how good the deal seems. Amazingly enough, when I talk to other people about FUCCILLO..9 out of 10 agree its the place to AVOID. Ask around..you might be suprised.
