I was at home this evening and enjoying the company of a friend and her daughter who had come over for dinner. We were engrossed in coversation when I received a phone call.

I took the call and was advised by an employee of Fulfillment International Corporation that I had won a holiday! I was so pleased as I enter loads of competitions and thought 'at last, I have won something'. I am a single parent of two wonderful boys and the opportunity to take them to America sounded so good and way beyond the normal holidays that we can afford.

I was advised by a really pleasant man that I would get 16 days holiday at a total cost of $5000 - but I would only have to pay 282 per person with children going for free. I thought that this sounded odd - as if I had won something then why was I being asked to pay? Plus, the free luggage would also cost me 39 - doesn't sound like a good deal to me!

Fortunately, I was conscious that my friend was being neglected so I ended the phone call and asked him to ring me tomorrow to process the details. I knew that I needed to check this out first so wanted some time to do a bit of investigating!

Once my friend had gone home, I logged onto the fulfillment web site and was a little baffled! I don't know of any travel company that only advertise just one holiday! There were no other holidays advertised and the web site was clearly very dodgy.

I then happened upon this page and I am so glad that I did!

I feel really angry that such a firm could try this! Less than three weeks to Christmas and they try to exploit a single parent who works very hard for all that she has!

A FREE holiday should be just that - FREE! I knew my instincts were right and when and if this 'gentleman' rings me back tomorrow I shall be telling him so!

Please, don't be fooled by this or any other scam that asks for money up front!

I think I will stick with the Greek Islands - much cheaper in the long run and at least I will know that I am getting value for money!
