Full Spectrum Solutions, Inc. Sold Defective Full Spectrum Light Design That Fails in Several Years Jackson MI
I purchased the Full Spectrum Solutions Floor Model on Oct. 12, 2015. I used the light daily for several hours per day without incident.
Then on December 28, 2020: the light went out by itself after a few hours of operation. I contacted Full Spectrum Solutions - Troy Chapman and he sent out a dimmer switch and ballast that I replaced.
The floor model continued to work OK until July 19, 2024 when turning the light off with the dimmer switch, the light blew out and the dimmer switch was not operating smoothly as usual.
I tried to contact Troy Chapman several times by email and by phone and there has been no response at all. I was hoping for a response telling me the solution to fix the light, but he seems to be avoiding telling me the solution. I have given him more than a week to respond.
This Ripoff Report is to warn any possible future buyers of Full Spectrum Solutions lights that it is likely to last only a few years before major problems and hassles.

How long do you expect a light to last?

Getting 10 years out of a lamp is pretty good. I don't think you can realistically expect to get more. Especially if it's used daily for hours a day. You could probably find a generic ballast to fit the lamp if you are really attached to it. It just needs to match the type of fluorescent bulb. Or get with the program and buy a modern LED lamp.
