I ordered a Canon Vixia HF S 20 for the very good price advertised on their website. I was skeptical from the start as I knew of these websites who advertise a low price and then try to sell accessories to increase the total purchase price. However, I ordered as I did not find a ripoff report on this site or on any other website for FUMFIE.com. Even CNET advertised this website as a reviewed trusted website.

After I put in a purchase, I did not get an order number and I was sent an email asking them to call a 866 number. I called and at first the person from the website asked me to purchase an extended battery as they claimed that the standard battery waas only good for 30 minutes. When I refused to buy the additional battery, this person very smoothly told me the total cost of the purchase which was almost $100 more than the advertised price when I placed the order. When I enquired, I was told that this additional amount was for handling and insurance. When I challenged this person why these charges were not advertised on the website, he said that I was NOT buying any accessories and this was standard practice. I asked him to cancel the order and was asking him about why they follow such practices when the person on the other side hung up on me.

I did not find any bad review earlier for this website and that's why I ordered from the website. I do not want other people to be cheated like I was and my experience should be a warning for any potential buyers. I would give $20-30 more and buy from a good trusted website rather than buy from a website which cheats customers.

Good Luck!
