Here are the reasons not to buy your next swimming pool, billiard table, or any other leisure item from FUN CITY POOLS AND SPAS, owned and operated by CROOKS/CONMEN.
AS A FORMER CUSTOMER, TAKE MY WORD! I purchased a pool & spa from this company and they promised me the world when they were selling me these units.
The spa leaked from the moment we filled it, and my wife and I believe that the spa was used as when we filled it, hair and dirt came out from the jets. We purchased this as a new model from a home show at the Charlotte Merchandise Mart.
We met the owner, STEVE HAROLD, and he was the friendliest guy youve ever met the day of the sale. Then, when the spa leaked and was full of trash, he swore to me the spa was brand new, and that "sometimes they get dirty at the manufacturer during a wet-test." So I called the manufacturer and that model number was never even wet tested at all.
I accepted the fact that I had purchased a used spa, but then the d**n thing leaked after the pump was turned on. After making nearly a dozen calls and waiting nearly 3 weeks, they sent someone out to look at the spa and build the above ground pool we purchased, which I wished to cancel, because of the HORRIBLE experience on the spa. However they told me I was obliged to take delivery on the pool as well as installation or I could forfeit my $2,500 deposit on the pool. I didnt even want to go outside when they came to do the work, so my wife and I greeted their crew and let them go to work with the pool and repairing the spa. When we came out to check on them a few hours later, we smelled POT, and could clearly see the smoke pouring from the FUN CITY POOLS & SPAS truck. This was the last straw, as I HAVE 2 KIDS that I DO NOT wish to be around drugs. I immediately called the manager at Fun City and he assured me that they would not do such a thing. I was insulted.
JUST WANT TO WARN AS MANY PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE, DO NOT BUY FROM THESE JERKS! Their products are probably used, refurbs, or God knows what??
The following will best sum up FUN CITY POOLS & SPAS, as well as their owners/operators::
They do not care about helping customers! Just making the sale!!
They have a fake sale every week, promising the best product for the best deal!
They recently lost their Olhausen Authorized Dealer Status for poor business practices with customers.
They will say absolutely ANYTHING to sell to you.
Their installation crews used drugs at my property.
They leave your product leaking/damaged/malfunctioned in your yard for weeks until they feel like coming to repair.
They overcharge for bad service.
RUDE employees, VERY rude management (lets just call him an a*****e)

Overall this place is just looking to make a quick buck off of a sale and has no intention of retaining a customer and building customer relations.
After meeting the owner of the company I realize they are not only rude, crooked, conmen, but they are downright incompetent. There should be governing laws against businesses like this one. I will not stop posting this ad, ever, BUYERS BEWARE!!!!

Here at Fun City Pools and the Pool and Spa show we take great pride in offering our customers great customer service and leisure products at affordable pricing. When there is an issue, we appreciate when a customer takes the time to let us know " what's broken" . Due to the anonymous nature of this complaint; we cannot attempt to address these issues. We can assure that no one here at Fun city is a crook or conmen. We take these allegations very seriously. Based on the information provided here as well as multiple postings on Craig's list; we have tried to determine who this customer could be. According to this report the customer is from Clover, SC. Our database shows that we have never had a customer from that area that purchased the mutilple products they claim to have bought. In addition our service records, which we meticulously moniter, do not support such allegations claimed from this report from any of customer in the history of our company. If this is a legitimate issue we would ask to have the opportunity to have this customer contact us directly or at least let us know who you are. So we can address all your allegations.
As to the slanderous statement made regarding our relationship with Olhausen billiards;
This statement is completely false and inflammatory. In no way, shape or form did our relationship with Olhausen Billiards end due to customer service issues of any kind.
In addition; none of the vendors for our hot tubs or spas would claim their particular spa was not wet tested. We do not do not do business with any spa manucfacter that does not wet test all there spas. ( It is standard practice in building a spa. )
If these postings prove to be a slanderous attempt from a competitor or disgruntled ex employee, we will pursue every avenue to restore our good name and reputation and will take any and all legal action necessary.
