I purchased a 1997 Fleetwood Bounder from Fun Time RV Outlet through an e-Bay auctionand it has been a nightmare.  First off they did not accurately described the vehicle and posted pictures that hid the cracked windshield on both sides, then most of the interior and exterior (including running lights) and the generator did not work when we got there.  They supposedly fixed and checked out all the lights and the generator gave us a discount for the windshield based on how much they said it would cost to fix (which was about a 1/4 of what it did cost), sold us a extended Service contract for all appliances and sent us on our way.

The lights were not fixed as we found out that night while driving home and all the semi's on the highway started flashing their lights at us.  The generator did not work either when we were forced to stop at a rest stop for the night because of the lights.  Then we could not get it licensed because they did not give us the right paperwork which took several weeks to get and costs us fines with the state for not the license in time.  When the refridgerator went out about 4 months later and we called the extended warranty company we found out they never sent in the paper work.

When we called Fun Time they said they were under new ownership and that we had to call Pop's Auto Outlet and gave us a number.  When we called that number they told us we had to call a different number, which was out of service.  We finally just looked it up online and after a few tries we got someone who would admit to having anything to do with the sale.  At first they claimed we had not paid all the money, when they admitted we had paid, they just quit taking our calls and would transfer us to a full voicemail box.  Letters have gotten no response.

So now I have had to pay for new windshields, generator repair, all new wiring for the lights, have a broken top of the line refridgerator and no extended warranty.

My dream has become a big hassle but I do not want to let them get away with it because it is wrong that they can treat people like this with no reprecussions at all.

Updates on FunTime RV Outlet

#2Author of original report

FunTime RV Outlets web address has now been re-directed to Fun Time RV's web site because they actually own the domain name and were letting the owners of Pops lease it.  Unfortunately for us victims it meant that when we did research to insure we were dealing with a reputable company we got information about Fun Time RV not Pops Auto Outlet or any of the other associated companies that did not have good reputations and from whom I would never have bought a vehicle.

All told I am out about $20,000 on my encounter with them.
