Furniture Factory Outlet ripoff fraudulent sale,non delivery of goods, lied, cheated, insulted, Mountain Home Arkansas
My 75 year old mother put a loveseat on layaway, the salesman put a sold sign on it while she was in the store, she also paid for scotch guard as an extra protection to the fabric.
She paid it out in full, at the direction of the salesman she pulled around back of the store so it could be loaded on her pickup, the salesman then informed her the loveseat had been sold and he would have to reorder!
She had just seen it sitting on the floor of the store in its original place ( there were two exactly alike ) so she inquired about the second one and again was told it also was sold.
The next day the salesman called and said he could not get the loveseat for her which matched the sofa she had purchased less than a month prior he asked if she would take another sofa.
She declined and said she would be by and pick up her refund.
She arrived at the store and was told it would take two weeks for a refund. She is devastaited - her birthday ruined.
Their reason they had no money in the store and it would have to come from their home office. The salesman issued a refund statement and tried to cheat her out of the scotch guard charge.
It was suggested the manager get in touch with the home office and have them overnight express her refund he refused, it was suggested the manager write her a personal check and settle with the company himself he refused.
He told her to come back in a week as it might possibly be in then.
The round trip is over 100 miles and if this is not abusing a senior citizen I do not know what is !They take a persons money, up front, and then use it for free and make a person wait for a refund ?
