Beware of Furrbcats - Barbara Lafferty misleading customers with Photoshop.
We purchased a blue eyed white Persian kitten fromBarbara Laffertyof Furrbcats a little over a yearago. Upon pickinghim up at the airporthe looked nothing likehe did on her website. He had terrible eye stains all over his face and came to us with an upperrespiratoryinfection that required hospitalization due to his compressed nasal passages.Our vet informed us that our new kitten would suffer from chronic upperrespiratory and eyeinfections his entire life due to his severely flat face. He was diagnosed with feline herpes that requires daily medication and constant eye cleaning. Since wepurchased himhe has generated over $5400 in vet bills and countless hospital stays. This does not include the $2000 we paid for him. His sinuses have had to be drilled out twice and three of his teeth had to be pulled to accommodate his smashed in face. We have to flush his eyes and clean his face twice a day or he will get serious eye infections. The area around his eyes are completely raw from all the wiping/cleaning, still he looks nothing like the cats she photoshops on her website. It is very heartbreaking anddefinitely a labor of love to maintain him, and now he has become very skittish because of all the medicationwe are always having to administer.
It isquite clear thatBarbara Lafferty photoshops her pictures to mislead customers into thinking her cats really look like that, we would have NEVER purchased from her if we had known that her kittens don't look anything like her altered pictures! Do notbe a fool like we were. Misleading the public and breeding cats that must undergo a lifetime of suffering and surgeriesis just plain wrong no matter how you look at it.
Shame on you Barbara Lafferty. Throw your Photoshop software in the trash and show people what your cats really look like.What you are doingis nothing short of lyingin orderto line your greedy pockets.

We have purchased multiple beautiful healthy kittens from Barbara Lafferty of Furrb cats, also known as Furr-b cats cattery over the past 5 years! They are our very loving furry kids and we have never had any issues with Barbara or her kittens! Barbara is the most honest, reputable and proper breeder you can ask for, especially in comparison to other breeders out there!
Her kittens always come in a prestine coat condition, and loving personalities, as well an official health certificates and vaccinations/ and appropritate testing! I have visited her home as well multiple times, and its always very clean and fresh, and shes very welcoming and sweet, just like her kitties!
I have met a few other of her kitties as well, and they were in excellent health and had gorgeous huge blue eyes and very healthy beautiful coats! Barbara has been working with her amazing lines for many years and she has been breeding champion and grand champions and i feel very blessed and honered to have adopted our furry babies from her!
Her cats look in real life just like they do in their photos! Feel free to reach out to me and i can show you beautiful amazing babies we got from her!
Im very sorry you had issues with your cat but perhaps researching the persian breed ahead of time would be a great idea! They all need daily eye and facial cleanings and regular grooming. There are products out there like eye envy, that thousands of persian owners use for years, and most veterinarians out there are not familiar with persian cats or their health, so my best advice it to look for a better more appropriate veterinarian and perhaps reconsider a more easily maintained breed next time. But i can tell you my experience has been nothing like yours!!!
What you call Photoshop, is completely innacurate and false statement, photos are taken professionally, their cats are not photoshopped! if you still in doubt, please go look at their gorgeous real life kitten videos and see for yourself. They look in videos just like they do in their photos and real life! My best wishes to you and your kitty

I have also purchased a White, Blue eyed Persian from Barbara Laffertty at FurrbCat.
My experience has been the complete opposite. I found Barbara to be very trustworthy and honest, which is why I purchased from her. The cat that I purchased looks just like she did on her website.
Persians are high maintenance cats - which she states on her website. They require daily grooming with their coats and upkeep with their eyes. White Persians, as well as many other breeds of solid white animals, of course develop tear stains very easily. Anyone who spends a few minutes researching solid white Persians on the internet will find that some upkeep will be needed in this area. Barbara has been very helpful to me regarding her routine on how she maintains her cats regarding their grooming and upkeep.
My cat from her is nothing but sweet and loving. She loves attention!!! This tells me she was raised in a good environment. She has no fear of anything, even after I spend lots of time grooming her.
There is always two sides to every story. Just because an animal is properly groomed and maintained well on her website pictures does not make her a liar or a dishonest person.

I too bought a cat from Furrbcats and I couldn't be happier. If I wasn't, I wouldn't wait "over a year" to say something to the breeder and write a meanspirited complaint on the Internet. Maybe there is more to your intentions.
Persian cats can have respiratory problems. Light coat Persians get stained if there isn't a stringent routine done to keep them spotless.
Try a new vet. Some just don't get cats and especially flat faced cats.
Photoshop used on pictures is no different than airbrushing a model. Pictures taken at a cat show are touched up with lighting and filters and professional adjustments. The cat doesn't look like that running around the house.It doesn't change the cat, it just presents a cat in a picturesque way.
The first thing to do if you are unhappywith the cat is tell the breeder. I found Barbara to be professional, honest, caring, and her catsmaticulous. Mine was presented in a beautiful manner andher personality tells me she was raised with care and love. Tell your complaints to the breeder, doing it as you have only tells me you haveother motives.
