Fusion Finish, Johnny Ray Yarbrough, John Espisito Scammed Dallas Texas
I had John come out on March 21st, 2015 after sending the wife and my two little kids away for a week so they wouldn't have to deal with the inconvenience of having him and the fumes in the house. He 'refinished' the tub, tile surround, floor, and pedestal sink. When he was done it appeared great, but I didn't enter the bathroom for 4 days...just wanted to make sure it was all good, even though he said it could be used the next day.
I noticed a couple spots that he didn't get, but was goign to wait and contact him when things got a little slower with work. He completely missed one side of the pedestal and there was overspray EVERYWHERE! Even out into the hall on the walls, door knobs and wood floors. I still find new places with overspray.
Towards the end of April, the pedestal sink started to bubble at the drain. I reached out to him via email because that was the only way he had communicated previously. Nothing.
A week later, the entire tub started to bubble. And half of it was just like overspray. A chunk of it peeled of, 1ft x 1ft, and it was transparent. Definitely not the 7 coats as promised on the Silver package I paid for. I didn't remove the old coating in the tub either, which he emailed me saying was $50 and I agreed to add that to the cost. He merely painted over everything and you could visibly see where the old tub surface had peeled off.
I left a voicemail, email and then text saying this was unacceptable. He responded syaing he was in the hospital for 2 weeks from a hernia and then stomach flu. BUt he could come out in 7-10 days to come repair it. That's whne I knew it was all a scam. I have had family members in the hospital from hernias, from mild to severe and none of them stayed in the hospital for 2 weeks, and none of them went to work within a week of going home. They were in bed or at rest for 4-5 weeks after.
I told him that instead of refunding me the $800, I would accept $600...I considered his time and soem materials were valuable, at least to him, and could deal with this headache on my own. I told him If he didn;t agree to that, I would take him to small claims court, which I have every intention of doing. UNfortunately, there is no address, license, or insurance report for him or his company, or any of his aliases, like John Espisito, that identify his place of business.
An address is required,a long with a legal name in order to flle a small claim and take them to court. And I don;t have time for that crap anywyas.
If anyone knows his address I would appreciate a heads up so I can claim some of my stolen money.
