My husband and I called Future Steel Buildings to request a catalog of their garages.     Immediately, a salesman got on the phone and told me he had a garage that  is being sold for half price, because the purchaser had backed out and cancelled his order.     I told him we didn't want to purchase this sight unseen, but he proceeded to tell us that if we didn't purchase it right away, we would miss out on a great deal.   He explained the dimensions of the garage, and what it looked like.     He talked us into purchasing this that day.

We used our credit card and gave a deposit over the phone.    He told us he eneded to have our signature right away, so we went to a mail store and received his fax, signed it and sent it back to him.    The form states that in the event that we cancel the transaction, our deposit is nonrefundable.

Several months later, the company said it was ready to be delivered to us, but we were hesitant still.    The salesman told us he would "throw in a few free items", such as a window and door opening, and a painted front for the garage.

A couple of months later, it was ready again to be shipped to us.   We wanted to hold off because we were still uncertain we wanted to purchase the garage.

The company had been bugging us for a while to set a delivery date,    We set a date for October 28th.     They told us the truck would leave on the 28th.     I called them on the 26th, left a message that we were cancelling because we have decided to build a garage from scratch.  Today I was told that the truck left early, and we could not cancel, but would be held liable for the balance of the garage.

They proceeded to tell us that they were turning our file over to their lawyers, because we are cancellling our order.
