On August 10, 2010, I signed an agreement to have a down payment of $1300 on my Visa paid to Future Steel Buildings.  This was in response to a call I had earlier in the day to buy a steel building to house my motorhome at a cost of $6500 with freight included.

Later that evening, I felt I had jumped into this purchase too quickly and decided to cancel.  The next morning, I called the salesman, Adrian Sipione at (800)668-5111 and got his voice mail.  I left a message that I had decided against teh sale and to please cancel the deal.  I tried calling again later that morning, but still no answer.  I called the office and aasked if there was someone else I could talk to.  I was transferred to another salesman who said that he couldn't help me.  I would need to speak directly to Adrian.

I called on August 12 and didn't receive an answer.  When I finally spoke to him and told him I wanted a $1300 credit, he said that they could not do this, that this was a charge for the engineering that had begun immediately on my building.

I had originally been told the cost of the building was $11,500 but since another customer had purchased the building but decided against it, I could purchase it for $6,500.  This was supposed to be a special deal for me.  Obviously this was all a lie, since I was now told the building was sent to engineering and that is why I couldn't have the $1300 refund.  If the building was already engineered, why is it that I have to pay $1300 that they won't refund?  This really doesn't make any sense to me.

Now, Future Steel Buildings is trying to claim that they can go after me for the remaining amount of purchase.

I urge anyone who is considering making a purchase from this sham of a company to be buyer beware!  They claim because you sign a document that has very small print and hidden in it is a non-refundable purchase.  I sincerely question if they even make buildings or if they just scam innocent custormer in outrageous deposits that they won't refund.

After having time to investigate, I found that the building I had originally agreed to purchase would cost minimally $10, 200 elsewhere, not to include shipping.  Future Steel gave me an even better price, with delivery delayed until June 2011, with nothing more due until then.  I agreed upon this, although still would not have been able to get back my deposit of $1300, if I had chosen this option.
