G. EDWARDS TRANSPORT GARY EDWARDS not a nice place to work saskatoon, Saskatchewan Canada
well these guys will talk the talk but come short real short when it comes to the walk
the pay is poor
they short you miles for example saskatoon to calgary city limits to city limits
they may or may not pay you city cartage in what ever city your in or if you did 4-5 hours work they may pay you 1-2 hours
the dispatcher has a 24hr clock for you his is only 8hrs they want you to turn in legal logs but they worked you for 16hrs
most of the runs in canada is over night and cartage all day
when you have a problem and want to take it up with management they are out,
if you do get a manager (we'll look into it) and nothing gets done in cases of shortage of pay
some usa drivers sit a week at a time between trips
but you have to be liquid to jump when they what you
they dont like to pay around winnipeg but will have come in on west side drop or deliver on north side reload on east side got blue nort mb for free but will pay you from blue nort mb to your next delivery
lay overs you may or may not get it was $100.00 a day
i heard its now $50.00 a day
there miler program routes you on 32,000-64,000 lb roads 80,000 rounting you eat the difference all in all work here at your own risk
if you break down on road example a slack adjuster keeps backing off lock ring missing
g. edwards himself will tell you "set it up and go"
