Complaint Review: G. F. Institute

I received this letter like a telegraph on May 24, 2,009. I was curious to see what it was about. It read: I have to respond to this $25K grant immediately within 36 hours to confirm my interest. They say the funds may be used at my discretion and never have to be paid back. I was tempted to call the 877 number but I decided to check online to see if this company existed. To my surprise it is a scam. I would loved for it to have been the real thing. I have a medical problem that I (can't afford insurance at this time) need to have addressed and the money would have come in handy to be able to see a doctor to find out if my tumor is cancerous or not. It is too bad that there are so many scams out there and these people are getting away with hurting others. Thank goodness for Ripoff Report being online.
