Have received repeated calls from this number. Finally answered the one that came in this morning. Caller did not identify herself, but asked for someone who does not live at my address.

Informed her that this # is on Do Not Call list & that she had a wrong #. Googled number, found out company is :
General Revenue Corporation,
11501 Northlake Dr.
Cincinnati, OH 45249.

I have filed a complaint at Donotcall.gov

A number of siltes like 800notes.com list General Revenue as a probable debt consolidation scam or collector violating FDCPA. If any other Ripoff Report readers are receiving these calls, I recommend filing complaints at donotcall.gov and ftc.gov.

Review Your Facts

Next time you file a complaint against a company, it might be wise to review your facts.

General Revenue does not market anything that would place them within the guidelines of the Do Not Call registry.  They are the brain-child of Sallie-Mae, and a third-party debt collection agency (mainly servicing defaulted federal student loans.)  Your complaint, therefore, will garner little to no investigation.  And rightfully so.

You were called because at some point your phone number was linked to the individual they're collecting against.  Maybe it's a typo on the account, or maybe they found the phone number through skip-tracing.  Either way, they're just doing their job.  If you want them to stop calling you, simply request that they're no longer to call your home and to immediately remove your number from the account.  If they continue to call, then and only then, will you have a valid complaint.  (It is a violation of FDCPA regulations to continue calling a noted wrong number.)
