On August 14th, I sent a payment to G&T Fiberglass through PayPal for $495.00 US for the purchase of the 85-90 Aerowing Spoiler. This was broken down as follows:
$340.00 for the spoiler
$10.00 for boxing fee
$145.00 for shipping to Woodstock Ontario
This payment can be verified through PayPal if needed.

I waited for 2 weeks for this item to arrive. This did not show up. I sent 3 e-mails to this company, dated August 24; August 28; and September 4.

I received no reply to any of these e-mails, so on September 7, I finally called this company and spoke to George (which I assume was the "G" of "G&T"). During our phone call, I told him who I was and why I was calling. He looked up my order and advised that it would be shipping Tuesday Sept. 11, and it will take around 4 days to arrive in Woodstock. I waited until Tuesday Sept. 18. This did not arrive, so I called him again. This time I got "it was shipped and it is in Ohio". I said great, so I should see this in a couple of days. He said yes, should be a couple of more days.

One week after this phone call, still no product. I called AGAIN, and was told that the shipment that was sent and made it to Ohio was returned to them because it was defective product. George said he had one in stock and would make sure it got shipped out that same day. Again, I waited for a week and still nothing has shown up. I once again placed a call to G&T Fiberglass, only this time I did not get to talk to a real person, but an answering machine.

I left a message with all my details and asked for a call back. Heard nothing. A couple of days later, called again. Again, left message. Again, heard nothing. My last attempt to contact this company was Friday October 19. Once again, I called them, got the answering machine, but this time, during recording my message, it sounded like someone on their end picked up the phone and disconnected the call. I immediately called back, and received no answer, not even the machine.

I filed a formal complaint with PayPal on October 23, complaint# PP-354-851-492 for non-receipt of product. Since this complaint was filed past the 45 day limit PayPal has for filing complaints, they closed the complaint. The problem here is I did have contact with G&T Fiberglass within PayPal's 45 day limit, that's why I waited to file my complaint. PayPal sent an e-mail to G&T on my behalf, but as of today I still have not heard anything.

On October 27, I filed an official complaint with the Connecticut BBB against G&T Fiberglass, complaint case# 84030791. I have had enough of this and have asked them to contact this company and request a refund to my credit card (through PayPal) for the sum of $540.31 CAD which is what the $495.00 US cost me back on August 14th. This is still open as far as I know. I have not heard anything back from anybody yet.

STOP! ..before you think about using the Better Business Bureau (BBB)... CLICK HERE to see how other consumers were victimized by the BBB's false or misleading information. Don't be fooled! It has been reported, when there are thousands of complaints and other investigations underway by authorities, the BBB has no choice but to finally give an UNsatisfactory rating to a BBB member business that is paying the BBB big membership fees every year. When a business is reported that is NOT a BBB member, BBB files WILL more likely show an UNsatisfactory rating, then reportedly shake down that company to become a member of the BBB. One positive thing about the BBB is, either way, if a business has an unsatisfactory rating with the BBB, you can be sure, the business is bad. But what about all those BBB member businesses that had complaints filed against them? Consumers never get to hear about them. What about the BBB advertising to the public? Is this a false and misleading perception they are giving about consumer confidence when dealing with a business? Click here to understand more of what consumers and business alike are saying about the BBB. You decide. ..Remember. The BBB membership is not earned, it's paid for!

I filed a claim with my credit card company asking for them to do a charge-back against this issue. They were successful, and on Nov. 20th 2007, they issued a credit to my account in the full amount.
