I bought a 2002 Kia Optima and the check engine light came on and now the car won't start. It seems to me that it is just a fuel pump problem.

It was towed to Galeana Kia service dept. and they told me they could not even get to it until next week. They also told me that they could not give me a loaner or a rental car. The Kia customer service rep. told me that there was nothing they could do about it. This is totally unacceptable.

Galeana Kia is a 5-Star dealership and they expect me to go more than a week without transportation. One of the reasons I ought the Optima was because of the reliability claims made by the salesperson. Now I am without a car but stuck with a car payment.

If I had it to do over again I would not buy a Kia.

Galeana Kia provided GOOD service

There are facts here that need to be brought out.

First, this is NOT a Galeana customer. They bought this car at another dealer in the area, so his statment about the salesperson did not refer to Galeana at all.



We use a schedule system in service so that we may provide a more consistant service experience for our customers. Since his visit was not scheduled and we had NO IDEA what was wrong with his vehicle, we could only give him a worst case repair time. This allowed for time to diagnose it, receive parts needed, and repair the vehicle no matter what was wrong with it! The one week estimate given was to allow him to prepare for the worst. Kia does not provide rental coverage under warranty, a fact his selling dealer should have informed him of. His vehicle was repaired by Galeana and returned to him in 3 DAYS. We wish he had wrote and told you that!
