I wish to add my personal experience to those others that have come forward to expose the fraud and dishonesty of Galerie Concorde Art Brokerage.  I am sitting on 18 serigraph prints that were purchased by my husband several years ago.  He was contacted over the phone at his office by a Peter McMahan to purchase a group of three prints as a "sure" investment.  Imagine my surprise when he came home and told me that he had agreed to do so, since we never made large purchases without talking it over and coming to an agreement together.

My husband was suffering from stage 4 cancer during this time, and Mr. McMahon convinced him that this would be a good way to invest in a better future for me and his family.  Sadly, over the next four years, he persuaded my husband to continue to buy telling him that he was positioned to sell many of the prints previously purchased and updating him on their increasing market value.  He also fell for the story that Mr. McMahon had a client who was going through a divorce and if we would just buy the prints that he had, after the divorce was finalized, he would purchase them back.

After my husband's death, Mr. McMahon called me and persuaded me that he and my husband had been working on creating a portfolio that would greatly benefit me and that I would mess up this plan if I did not continue to buy.  I am ashamed to say that in my vulnerable position, I also fell prey to his lies and skilled manipulative tactics.  None of the prints we ever bought were sold.  I have no idea how to get rid of the ones I have, and I am furious that this business is allowed to continue.  My husband also checked the BBB in Quebec and found no complaints, so he was assured that everything was legitimate.  If there is ever a class action suit, sign me up!
