Complaint Review: Galveston Yacht Basin

                                                        XXXX Worst Marina on Galveston Island XXXX

           I have had my boat at the Galveston Yacht Basin for approximately two years and have had numerous issues with the facilities and now the staff.  Where should I start first?  The docks are not cleaned, nor maintained properly, covered in bird droppings, the roof on the docks leak which cause rust stains on most of the boats, the bathrooms are disgusting and filled with roaches, they do not have security or if they do it is spotty at best, the restaurant that they claim is going to open has never opened nor probably ever will.  The dry stack is a nice amenity, but they don't clean the area around so, when you get in your boat there is about an inch of black dust that gets in your boat.  Also, they have rotten fish that is just left around by the fish cleaning station which is just plain disgusting and smells horrible.

        If you want to go to a real marina that isn't a complete dump like the Galveston Yacht Basin then try Pelican Rest Marina.  Pelican Rest has 5 star amenities and the slip rental is actually cheaper than the Galveston Yacht Basin.
