Game Brain Electronics orkmastermcgee Sold defective game console with 6 month warranty and ignored requests for warranty Port Chester New York
My twelve year-old son saved up his own money to buy a refurbished Xbox One game console from this company on Ebay. It came with a 6 month warranty.
I attempted to contact the seller because the unit would only work with downloaded games and wouldn't read any discs.
The seller simply ignored all attempts to contact them to resolve the issue.
Ebay would not help resolve because if more than 30 days has passed since the purchase it is their policy to do nothing to help a buyer resolve an issue.
Seller had mostly positive feedback with a few negative remarks that had seller rebuttals explaining their side of things. These seemed to make sense and I chalked them up to unreasonable buyers but I guess I was wrong.
Seller finally responded to my e-mails and calls on the 181st day after the 6 month warranty started, and this was their exact response:
"Hi-
You're well past the warranty period at this point which is why there was nothing to discuss.
The same outcome will happen with PayPal."
Buyer Beware! Do not do business with this person. I don't know how they've managed to maintain a positive ebay rating, they obviously know how to abuse the systems in place to protect the consumer. After over 3 weeks of trying to contact them with absolutely no response I can't figure out what else to do and my twelve year-old loses. PayPal won't do anything after 180 days and this seller obviously knows how to use that to their favor by ignoring all issues until that time has passed.
