Got a letter from Gamebookers Casino, it said I won 55,400.60. I called the phone number it gave, and talked to the person it said to. They even gave me a person who was going to handle paying the taxes on the winnings. They also sent me a check for $4,950.00 to deposit to cover the cost of processing insurance and international taxes. I deposited the check in my account. 15 minutes later I get a call from my bank saying that the check is fraudulent. I called the company back and of course they said how could that be. So beware of these people.

Go immediately to Federal Trade Commission and report these clowns. They probaly wanted your banking information and scammed you as a potential Identiy Theft victim. Report that to your local police and your Federal Trade Commission and give them a copy of the police report and make sure your credit is still in tact by obtaining copies of it from Experian, Equifax and TransUnion. Place a fraud alert on your credit or a "Credit Freeze", which stops them cold. Make sure you are not on any of ChoicePoints records. You could wind up with a criminal record that is not yours, along with the false credit history they obtain. Good Luck!
