GameHouse Claims Cancel Anytime But Tricks Consumers into 12 Month Subscriptions Seattle, Washington

Realized my daughter was not using GameHouse subscription anymore. I went to cancel the subscription and support informed me that I had signed up for a FunPass 12 Ticket subscription which was 5.99 a month for 12 months and they were going to charge me for the remaining 9 months after cancellation.

What has made me angry is that the subscription indicated was FunPass monthly indicated on the membership page and nowhere could I find anything that indicated it was a different type of subscription. All the indications on their website is that you can cancel monthly memberships at anytime.

I am not disputing current charges as that is my responsibility as a subscription signee which I have since canceled but what I will do is dispute further charges as they must have cleverly hid any indication that this was more than monthly service equivalent to a 12 month subscription.

Shame on RealNetworks Inc. as the parent company. They have been an internet service provider for many years and it is sad to see this company become a parasite huckster with shady practices.

An angry and never again RealNetworks customer!! Other customers beware and read the fine print in any subscription agreement with online service providers.
