Gameknot ripoff complaint unfair practices self-righteous Internet
Beware if you sign up to play chess on Gameknot.com. They have convoluted and fickle rules about user id's. They will let you sign up and take your payment, but they may decide at any time to revoke your account. If they do,they will not refund your money, not even a prorated refund. They also do not offer you a chance to change your user name. I recommend using another chess website that is fair.

Hi Susan,
So sorry to hear you were treated unfairly by GameKnot. I am filing a report against them. It has to be approved and will probably be up shortly. I am calling my News station. A lot of them have consumer advocates who intervene for you. GameKnot may state they have the right to do whatever they please but they also have a contract with all of their members. That contract has been broken by them for no good reason. If you would like to do something about this let me know. I am contacting the other 2 people that have also had the same problem with GK.
