After a day or two of recently purchasing a Minecraft server, lag overwhelmed our users with only three or four players online simultaneously when the server had an advertised capacity of 20.

The server is based in Sydney, Australia, and we have tried everything from resets to migrating to a new box. Nothing. There are no mods nor unusual things about the world at all, either.

So, four days of frustration and 72 support e-mails later (that's not me spamming them, by the way; they send confirmations every time I send an e-mail and this number includes their replies over the four days), it has come to me requesting a refund and no response from GameServers in 24 hours (c.f. responses within ~15min on some support e-mails).

Verdict: unprofessional and misleading. I highly recommend you, dear reader, reconsider your choice of host if you are considering using GameServers for Minecraft. And GameServers, I highly recommend that you make serious attempts to resolve your technical issues before taking on more Minecraft clients at your Sydney, Australia, datacentre location.
