Complaint Review: GameTag

GameTag.com Took my information said they would pay but didn't pay and does not respond to any contact Internet

I have a World of Warcraft account I've been trying to sell for the last 6 months and so far I've contacted several companies. The vast majority of them are offering a whopping $50, so I declined all those offers. I read rave reviews about this site, GameTag.com so I decided to give it a shot.

I filled out their ridiculously long application, they asked what I wanted for the account, I said $600, and to my surprise I was offered that amount! I was pretty happy about that and expected that I'd have that money within a week, given that the website states my application should be processed in 24 to 48 hours and receive payment shortly after that.

So a week goes by and I haven't heard anything. I check the status of my application, and all it says is "Pending". According to their description on the site, that means I just sit back and wait til an agent reviews it. So I try and be patient.

I wait another week, so now we're at the end of week #2, and still nothing. I check the status...Pending. I write them an email asking about the status of the application. A few days go by, no response. I contact them on their Facebook page. I send them a message, I write on their wall, and I even went back to their website to "chat with a live agent" as they supposedly have that option as listed on their site.

Fast forward to today, now SIX WEEKS LATER I have STILL heard NOTHING! Not a peep! How can a company run with zero response to their customers? I checked the status on their site and now it says "Waiting in Queue". And their description basically says waiting in a long line of orders. So SIX WEEKS later and they haven't even looked at my application yet? So much for 24-48 hours!

Growing increasingly impatient about it, I found this site (Ripoff Report) and saw a TON of reports filed against GameTag.com for the EXACT SAME PROBLEM! Silly me, I should've done my research first...oh wait. I DID! I'd love to know how the people who wrote rave reviews about GameTag.com got their payment. These aren't some Joe Schmoe reviews either, a lot of them are from LEGIT gaming sites. I trusted those reviews, I gave them my information, I'm expecting $600 within a week, and instead I get six weeks of waiting and ZERO information.

I did a little more research into this site and I've noticed that GameTag.com actually responded to a few reports that were filed and then people wrote rebuttals stating the report is null and they finally received their payment. So, GameTag, if you're reading this, I would not be filing this report if I received ANY KIND OF RESPONSE from you!

I checked my WoW account, everything is fine, no one hacked into it or anything. I'm not claiming GameTag "stole" my account like a few reports suggest. I'm just pretty upset over the fact that I listened to the gaming sites I trusted, and put my faith in selling my account to GameTag, and they have the worst customer service I've ever seen. Here's a tip, GameTag.... ANY type of response is better than NO response! If GameTag pulls through and I receive my payment and everything is good, I will post my rebuttal but until then this report stays open.
