Complaint Review: Garcinia Gambogia Plus

I heard about the product garcinia cambogia.   I went online to research what other folks have probably seen on Dr. Oz etc.  I saw references to the product in Prevention magazine and wanted to know more.  So I found an article from Goodhousekeeping.  It was written by someone who had used this product, and also Nature's Fit Colon Cleanse and lost 23 pounds.    It looked completely real.   goodhousekeeping6.com/garciniacambogiaplus/?t202id=22924&t202kw=

Based on the "article" and the many positive reviews following it, I ordered both the garcinia cambogia and Nature's Fit Colon Cleanse she referenced.   I ordered on June 20; I was billed $4.95 for each on June 23; and I received the products on or about June 25.   I started using the products.   You can imagine my dismay when I discovered I was billed $87.53 for the garcinia cambogia on July 5.  And I discovered today on my bank account, $87.95 was taken for the colon cleanse.   Not enough time to know if the products work, and the trial was only free if I cancelled within the first two weeks for the garcinia cambogia and three weeks on the colon cleanse.   Without a cancellation, I paid $87.53 for the "free" 30 day supply.    That was not $87.53 for the next 30 days, but $87.53 for that supply.  Far too soon to know if it would work.   

I cancelled the membership to both.   Both told me it was in the fine print of the terms and conditions, but the terms and conditions did not mention $87.53 or $87.95.   I know they did not because I would NEVER have agreed to pay that when you can find the products everywhere online for much less.   And the main reason I went with these, and the trial at $4.95 each, is the FAKE article from Goodhousekeeping.

I feel so stupid and misled.
