Gardener's Choice ripoff??? I have a phone number that actually works. Good Luck!!! Hartford Michigan
Everyone Remember...most plants ship anywhere from March to May 31st. Check their website...http://www.gardenerschoice.net/index.asp?PageAction=Custom&ID=9
I ordered 3 different varieties of Strawberries, 2 varieties of Blueberries, and 6 different varieties of tomato plants. I just received them the other day. The strawberry plants are in good shape. They are just crowns and have large strong root systems so this is normal. I am sure they will grow. The blueberries are very small stems (about 2 inches high) with small roots. I hope that they will grow but I will have to see. Most of the tomato plants are wilted. I am guessing that only half will survive. One set of tomato plants was the wrong variety.
The phone number on their website (269-621-2481) is always busy so I called ES Enterprises which is the fulfillment house for Gardener's choice (CALL 269-621-2447). They were able to transfer me to them in a couple of minutes. The person was pretty helpful. She said that she will send out the right variety of tomatoes. She also gave me a refund option. She said to put the blueberry plants in water for a few weeks to see if they will establish more roots. I don't know if this is going to work. She said that tomato plants usually recover, so I will watch them.
I asked her if she had a direct phone number since the one listed on the website is always busy. She said that the number is busy because they are taking a lot of orders. I don't think this is true since if you wanted to place an order, how would you be able to ever get through? I tried all day and never got through. I have never heard of a company that gives you a busy signal when you want to order from them!!! She said to try to call their website number at about 8:00 AM EST, but I haven't tried this yet.
