Complaint Review: Garrison Painting

Came to my home and portrayed himself to be a good Christian and helps Vets.  We are a Senior Citizen and a Disabled Vet. 

Gave him a deposit of $2650 on Jan. 3rd.  A few weeks later, he text that his whole family had CoVid and the job would be delayed.  He text on Sun, Feb 13th that he needed $200 wired for paint increased price.  I said we don't wire money. I put a check in the mail on Mon., Feb 14th.  A week later he text he never received the check. When I checked my bank several times after, it had not cleared so on March 3rd I stopped payment. 

He text last week of Feb.. that they would start the pressure washing of my home on Fri. Feb. 25th.  He was a no show.  He text again that he would be at my home on Mon, Feb 28th. Again, he was a no show.

We called and text from our cell phones on Mon, Feb. 28th and left messages.  On Tuesday, Mar 1st we called and to this date receive this message:  "the person you have dialed is not able to receive calls at this time"

Have never heard from him, but he still has a facebook page and unfortunately, Better Business Bueau has a 5 star rating. He has never started the work or bothered to contact us.
