Gary Allen industries dropped our project once the CO was assigned by the town but refused to work on the items outlined in the RREM ECR document which is required to be completed.  He started by stealing my original garage door even though i told him not to take it. Then he stole my original furnace, water boiler and temp water spicket. in my contract the Arch plans called for a master bedroom and he refused to complete it even though i had his doument writeup with his letterhead indicating 10,000 was set aside for a master bedroom. He is a contractor with no morals. He extremely cheap and always trys to get more money out of you even though he is getting quite a bit of mony. The RREM paid out 150K and he looks to take every bit of it. He plays games and will provide you a contract with more itens he "doesn't do's" then "items he doe's" . beware of a limited contract.. He performed on my house as part of the Huricane Sandy RREM prjoject where I needed to lift my house.  The bottom line he does not have the proper experience to  lift houses as his business is setup more for modular homes.    again they set out on becoming modular dealers. I say, dealers, as they are not builders, t hey have no experience with construction, plumbing, architecture, or anything else that someone running this operation should. That inexperience reared its head over and over again during the project multiple times.  Gary Casazza was a real jerk from the start, i consider him as thief as well.  DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY.....

Gary Allen Industries - Buyer Beware

#2Author of original report

Gary Allen industries from Red bank NJ took on the project of my House lift base on a new flood elevation requirement issued by the Union Beach township prompted from the Hurricane Sandy storm.

At the very start, we had a disagreement as to whether the master bedroom would be included in the work or not. We argued about it.. I then sent an email to him and cancel his services. At that point he called me back and said all the permit were issued to the town and he agreed to add the master bedroom and even put it in writing soon after with his company letterhead and all. He even mentioned that 10k would be set aside for this master bedroom. The Archetecture plans clearly stat new Bedroom.

Serveral shady things happened along the way.. At the very start of the project, i noticed my garage door off to the side of my house and I went out of my way to tell Gary Casazza(contractor) not to take that garage door as my mom has a 4 apartment unit in North Jersey and that I can repurpose it to replace one of the old doors at the apartment. Then my water boiler went missing, then the furnace.. He even charged me for a temp water spicket and when the water service was restored he had the nerve to take that as well. I challenged him on this and he said is was a mistake but never returned it.

He sat down with myself and my project manager to review the ECR scope document provided as part of the goverment program RREM and we removed items that he agreed would not be covered as part of the contract. I agreed abut the other items would be covered as RREM inspection would not pass unless all items were marked as complete.

There were many days where his team was not present during the project. The timeline submitted to RREM called for a start ion Nov, 2015 and end by Feb 2016.  We the project is still active as RREM items are still outstanding and it is now Sept, 2016.

To me he is a contractor with no morals. He always looks to cut corners every step of the way. He is very quick to tell you the items he doesn't cover along the way asking for multiple change orders.

The bottom line he does not have the proper experience to lift houses as his business is setup more for modular homes.  We fought many times throughout the project and no home owner should have to deal with his nonsense along the way. I agree with the other rip off report from Brooklyn, NY..  Gary Casazza was a real jerk from the start, i personally consider him a thief. I would never recommend this company to anyone espcially after my experience.  DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY.....
