On February 27, 2010, I went to Peruzzi Auto Group in PA for a State Inspection. 20 minutes into the service, I was told that I was asked if I just had my brakes done and if I did, the front Caliper Bolts holding my pads together were missing. I was told that they could fix it, that is all was told to me by service manager Gary Fields

I reached out to my mechanic, and I was told that it's unlikely that I would able to drive my car if the bolts were missing.  My wheel would make noise, and the sound would be noticeable.

I went investigated under my vehicle for I was present when my brakes was replace the bolt was not there, I took a picture for myself and my mechanic. The area was clean and dry.

Please note that if I was driving for the past week without the Caliper bolt, based on the weather for the past week of 2/22/2010 to 2/27/2010, the area would be filled with dirt and gravel.  At the time I took the picture it was clean and dry. The Falls Township Police were contacted because I asked them to stop working on my vehicle to prevent further damage by Peruzzi.

Three police vehicle, three police officers, which include Capt. Lt. M. Bertone who demanded that I get off the phone and speak to him.  As I explain to him as to what happened.  He responded that I thought and believed that it happened.

He went on to say he personally have been doing business with Peruzzi, therefore, nothing happened here.  Please note Cpt Bertone personal business with Peruzzi has nothing to do with me, this was my first time.

As I provide my identifying information to second officer, Cpt Bertone was enraged, screaming that he has no empathy, sympathy or any interest to help me when I mentioned that I was being discriminating against due to my race.

The captain is supposed to uphold the law, he supposed to remain neutral, not go ballistic that he was not going to help me because as he put it "used the race card."

The captain went inside the office spoke with the service manager, came out and told me to pay my bill, he doesn't how I get off the dealer's lot, I had to get out of there.

Needless to say, I had to pay for a failed inspection, because Peruzzi sabotaged vehicle.  I was told by service manager Gary Fields "don't you ever come back here, we don't need your kind of business."  I sadly responded to Mr. Fields I can't possibly do business with a company that lies, steal and racially discriminative.

I left with my vehicle driving extremely carefully, for I went in with an intact caliper bolt, and now leaving without one.  As I drive home, the screeching sound of my brakes was noticeable, which is something that was not present before I went in for service.

I also took a picture of the area where the Caliper bolt is supposed to be.  the very area that was dry while at the dealership, is now wet and filled with dirt. Now, you tell me How can dealership like Peruzzi place people lives at risk for the sake of making the mighty dollar.

Or was it because I was alone, a small petite African-American woman. Both the service manager as well as the responding Captain made it cleared that I was not going to get any help.  A caliper Bolt I can replaced, but the disrespect I endured from Mr. Fields and Capt Bertone will remain with me for a long time.

Anyone who really care about their safety, finances, dignigty, respect, you don't have to be of a different race, if you are a woman, this male oriented establishmen automatically assumed that you are incompetent, and you do not know any better. Don't do business with Peruzzi Automotive Groups.  Their customer service ETHICS is poor.  The behavior of the Falls Twp captain was extremely bias and indifferent.

I may be one less consumer for their business, but they are certainly will not have potential consumers within my network.

Thanks for you time and consideration
