Gary Nitzkin has no business practicing law anywhere in these United States. However, the state of Michigan has one of the most corrupt governments in the union and it is no wonder this individual continues to work as a lawyer.
Gary N has an abysmal history as a lawyer representing clients. There are numerous complaints and reprimands against him from the Michigan Attorney Discipline Board to various individuals both former and non-former clients. The non-conventional, cowboy tactics employed by Gary Nitzkin have landed him in trouble too many times and every year since passing the bar, there has been a complaint to the state. This is not normal and emotionally intelligent behavior, and this guy has to be stopped. He has been harassing and cyberstalking my wife for over a year now.
When this began, she called our local police to report that an attorney in Michigan had been cyberstalking and harassing her. We even called the Southfield Police to report the same. Finally, a complaint to the Michigan Attorney Discipline Board did not stop the harrassment. The state found that this sick dog had not violated state law and told my wife and I that they receive numerous complaints against Gary Nitzkin every year, but that rarely is he found guilty unless it involves misappropriating funds.
By the way, he has been in trouble and found guilty of this many times, so beware. He will steal from you. Lie, steal and cheat is what Gary Nitzkin is famous for. He is an old, washed up, bullying who graduated from a low tier law school and is too mentally ill for the ethical practice of law. In most states, a finding of mental disease will get a lawyer disbarred. However, the problem with the state of Michigan is too many corrupt public officials running local and state government agencies. Also, I believe that Gary is paying low people in high places to keep his license. Gary definetely gets his CLE education from the Donald J. Trump School of Professional Ethics and behaves just like him. Gary is a sore loser who cannot stand to lose or be rejected in any way. Once this happen, he will lodge a harrassment compaign, holy war against the one who slighted him. This is sickening!
Before deciding to hire this pig to help with a credit or creditor issue, conduct a bit of research and due diligence. Gary has paid certain people to write glowing reviews of him on avvo.com. The reviews elsewhere are bad. There are many, many other lawyers both local and nationwide who can and do the work that Gary N claims to do. However, other lawyers will not lie, steal, cheat to get it done. Do not be fooled by all of the websites on the Internet; he has several which make him look highly competent.
On the contrary. Gary N is an incompetent fool. He thinks that breaking the law and cursing people out is the only way to get others to go along and do as he says. There is a fine line between strong-armed tactics and outright bullying. In one scenario, he broke into someone home or office to steal documents in order to get a leg up in court and was arrested and had to go to court over the incident. The BBB found that the advertising on his website is deliberately false and misleading, particularly with respect to how clients are compensated and retainers. Gary will lie about the retainer fee and when you call him on it, watch out! You can see the horns begin to stick out the top of his fat head.
Buyer beware, the majority of complaints about Gary Nitzkin are not a matter of public record. However, this guy is in trouble every year because he is untrustworthy and incompetent. Gary N needs to be either locked up in jail or a mental institution. He has no right walking around with the general public because he is a danger to society and will eventually snap.

I've been a licensed attorney in Michigan for over thirty (30) years, and Gary Nitzkin is one of the best at what he does. As soon as I saw that the person complaining was being chased by Gary who was attempting to collect a debt for a client it made me laugh. The highest compliment someone can pay a collection attorney is to complain that he is driving them crazy, etc., etc. Maybe this guy should've just paid what he owed, and then Gary wouldn't have to be chasing the dead beat in his usual very effective manner.
This person is also lying that there has been all sorts of disciplinary actions against Gary. He was reprimanded once in 2014.
As far as there being other grievances filed against Gary over the years, that did not result in any discipline, that's to be expected when you're an effective collection attorney. While operating within the bounds of the law, Gary is tenacious and aggressive beyond belief, he drives deadbeats crazy, and that's exactly why he is so effective!

My name is Michael, I live in Michigan, and I am a client of Mr. Gary Nitzkin, and have been for over 4 years. Gary Nitzkin and his staff (particularly Julie Lamanna) have been outstanding, competent, professional, and diligent in all matters. I am writing this report because Gary was an invaluable asset when I my student loans foreclosed, and I had multiple creditors harassing my parents and girlfriend at their work and at their homes. Gary utilized federal statutes to sue these creditors that cause enormous stress to me and my family, which held them at bay and enabled me the leverage to settle my debt reasonably. I write this note because I believe some of gary's clients may suffer from mental illness, and unjustly use social media to exact unjust revenge. Please know that if you are being harris sedan by creditors, or if there is incorrect data on your credit report, you will find the best lawyer in gary nitzkin to assist you. I myself looked up ripoff reports against dcs (a debt collector that acquired my student loan) to learn more about the company that called my parents at work. I felt humiliated and angry when they did. And luckily, I found gary nitzkin. To use ripoff to go after gary nitzkin is wrong on all levels, and may wrongly deter those in need from the best legal representation in michigan (if not, in my opinion, the rest of the US. Gary has presented lectures on fdcpa and fcra to law schools and is a pillar of the legal community.) So trust Gary Nitzkin with full confidence. He is strong willed against those who may harass you and your family. And thank God: he's the best fighter you could have on your side. I'm glad I'm debt free today. Gary's firm was instrumental to the turnaround. Thanks again, Gary Nitzkin.

Virgina contacted my office earlier this year with a legal issue. When my paralegal started to do her intake, Virgina balked and said that she would not speak with anyone other than "the attorney." I called Virgina and explained to her that we are a high volume credit repair law firm. I also explained that we have a process that we follow. If she would like our help, she would need to follow this process and cooperate with my staff. She agreed. Almost immediately after we hung up, she started sending me the most inflamatory emails. I was quite surprised. She never retained us. In fact, I never spoke with the purported author of this rip off report, Edward, ever.
I told her that I did not understand the basis for her hostility but if she would cooperate with my staff, we could probably help her clean up her credit report. Her diatribe continued until I told her that it was clear to me that we could not work together. I asked her to simply find another attorney. This prompted her to call our local police department.
I received a phone call from a detective who was as curious about this lady as I was. I explained what had happened and he thanked me and said good bye.
This all happened, I think back in January or February of this year. Now, in November they have decided to file this rip off report. Again, I still don't understand the hostility or why we cannot just go our own separate ways.
