On September 8 2008 I bought a 200 Ford Taurus from this dealer and since my credit was challenged they financed me through a Company called Credit Acceptance Corporation ( in which there are complaints aginst this company on here as well I suggest you read them ) .

On October 23 the vehicle was taken by so some hired individuals to reposess this car , I was 0nly sixteen days late with the first paymnet and if they could have waited the next day I would have made the payment .

Gary Smith Ford or I should say thier sales team that sold me the vehcile did not do a very good job of making me aware that They have to install a GPS unit on the vehicles that are financed through Credit Acceptance , they only told me that this device was for Insyurance puposes only , they did not explain to me that thsi device could be used to render the vehicle disbaled should a paymnet be missed etc.. which that never occured . They told me to bring the car in after they sold it to me sold that the mechanics could get some serial numbers off the engine and it would only take a half hour , we were there for a total of three hours in which time they obviously installed the GPS unit .

Do not buy from this dealership they only will take adavnatge of you , they lie , they rush you through the paperwork and to boot they use a credit company that is nothing more than credit predators !!!

I own a smaller dealership, and I can't express the value of the vehicle inablers I use in my cars. It saves us, the banks, and the (responsible) customers so much time and money when we make the mistake of lending money to people that choose not to repay the loan. And as for this guy... I'd be willing to bet that the salesman, General Manager, and the Finance DIrector worked their @#$'s off trying to get this guy funded, and all he did to reward them was to refuse to make his payment on the loan the employess fought for him to have. Wow, some people...

You admit you were "credit challenged", and you didn't even make the first payment on time. Yet you are accusing them of taking advantage of you?

Oh yea and I am sure that everyone believes the "and if they could have waited the next day I would have made the payment" line. I will give you credit for one thing, at least you didn't say the "Check was in the mail".

"Credit Challenged"?

How politically correct! So you already had a history of not paying your bills when promised and you're surprised that a lender would reposess when you couldn't even make the first payment on time? Get real! You're learning the hard way that people who lend you money take it much more seriously than you apparently do. If you keep up that behavior, soon you won't even be able to open a bank account, much less get a loan. If you think the dealership or the finance company took advantage of you, then you are sorely in need of a reality check.

You couldn't even make the FIRST payment on time. It was ONLY the FIRST payment and you were already SIXTEEN days late. No wonder you are a "credit challenged" buyer. You hadn't had the vehicle 30 days and you were already falling behind. I mean why did you bother to even go through the motions of "buying" a vehicle if you couldn't make the payments? Maybe you should have just RENTED a vehicle for 46 days, it would have been cheaper. That's kind of funny about them putting a GPS locator on the vehicle. Saves time and money with your track record. Makes it easier for them to repo it and I'll bet your down payment paid for it. Makes sense to me. YOU reap what you sow.
