Garys Garlic.com / Red Maples Farm rotten moldy bruised garlic bulbs Fort Plain New York
I found Gary's garlic on Ebay, I wrote them and asked if I could buy direct from them. I asked for as much German White as they could fit into a flat rate box. They responded with yes they could fill that order. They said they can put 8lbs in to a box, I paid $6.00/lb x 8 = $48.00 plus shipping. This is not a high price to pay for good garlic bulbs but these were no good bulbs. I got what I payed for I guess
I received the box of garlic to find bruised, gouged and old wounds on these bulbs. I took apart a large bulb to find it was rotten and covered in mold inside the clove skin. I ended up tossing 7 whole bulbs due to mold. Another 3 bulbs worth from damage to the cloves themselves. Not all of the bulbs were damaged, I would say 50%
I wrote to them and sent pictures of what I had found, She was amazed that the garlic was in such bad shape and said the box had sat on here desk for a week or so. I wrote to them asking for 2 pound of cloves to make up for the battered and rotten garlic I had received. I have not received a response from them in 2 weeks regarding my request.
DO NOT order garlic from www.garysgarlic.com or Red Maples Farm. They haven't a clue what they're doing or how to handle garlic bulbs

The "story" of Gary's Garlic is absolutely false. I have been dealing with them for some time and have not acquired any moldy or damaged garlic. They have always been very nice. This story seems like someone who just wants to rip off Gary's Garlic and wants to give Gary's Garlic a bad name. Please do not listen to this "monster" who is trying to destroy an up and coming business. Again I have always acquired great product from this company!
