Gas Up America Gas Up America - A Con company, a rip off, and a fruadulent company Daytona Beach Florida
I received a $100 gas voucher from an outrageous/laborious Time Share sales pitch at the Split Rock Resort, near the Poconos, PA. As required, I mailed in my voucher and received five (5) $20 coupons. The coupons came with a 16-point instructions guide on how to receive your $$ (ridiculous to say the least - applying for a passport does not even require that many steps & procedures). One of those conditions stipulated that an applicant could not send in more than 1 $20 coupon within a 30-day period, implying that an applicant would need at least 4 months to receive the $$ equivalent of all 5 coupons!!
So far, I have submitted 2 coupons ($20 each) - the first was rejected with absolutely no reasons for rejection. I reported the case to Better Business Bureau in FL, and Gas Up informed them that coupon was rejected on the grounds that the form was incorrectly filled so I corrected the form and sent it back. It's been over 4 months now ...nothing! The second coupon I sent over 2 months ago- to date - no new from the company!!
In my opinion the 16-point instruction is simply a way to frustrate voucher holders - if you do not dot your "i's" or cross your t's - your form is rejected! If one has earned a $100 coupon, it cracks my brains why a receipt for the total amount can not simply be attached to the coupons and submitted for a refund??? The management of Gas Up America must be investigated along with management at the Split Rock Resort!! I read similar experiences on Gas Up, and this appears to be wide spread issue - those of us who have been ripped off must find a way to come together to seek redress!!
