Complaint Review: Gasoline Redemption Center

I received a voucher for $250 worth of "free" gas as a promotional from a local Ford dealership in September of 2007. I was expecting a gift card of the total amount but instead found that this is a program that is divided up in $25 increments and a long list of requirements that must be met in order to receive the "free" gas.

I have played by their rules since October but to date have received NO gift cards for "free" gas. I have received notification from them that they received by receipt for Oct-Dec and that everything is in order. Most of the telephone numbers that are provided are busy 24/7 and e-mails to customer suervice go unanswered.

I have been able on a couple of occassions to talk to a real person. On each of these occassions I have been told basically athe "the check is in the mail". I have contacted the dealer the gave gave out these promotionals and I have been given yet another telephone number and was told that the owner's daughter participated in the program and has received gift cards. If I ever do receive the gift cards due me it will be because I stuck with it. It certainly appears that they people count on us giving up so that they make more money. The people who use this type of promotional program are jsut as much to blame becasue they didn't do a good enough job of checking it out prior to purchasing the vouchers.
