I am a Gateway Computer owner who has been experiencing problems with my computer. My DVD drive continues to freeze on DVD movies that use to play when I first purchased my unit. I was told by John at the Gateway Country Store in Pleasanton California. That my Computer issues were solved. He tested my DVD drive. When I put in a movie usually my whole computer would freeze up within one to four minutes of playing time of
any movie I had.

I called John up immediately after I experienced this problem. John then proceeded to ask me what particular movie was
freezing up. I named reputable movies like The Matrix, Tarzan the Disney Animated movie, and the Fight Club. He then told me that some players have problems with playing the Matrix. I told him that my player use to play the Matrix. But something happened since the beginning of the year to my player. I have also experienced problems with my Modem which was having problems connecting at the connection process.

After three times of traveling back and fourth to the Gateway
Country Store. My problems are still persisting and another problem is my CD player is not functioning. But it was working fine before I took it to Gateway.

What I would like to know is there a Lemon Law that I can apply to this situation? I have owned this computer since June of
1999. My warranty ended in June but, I did purchase an extended
warranty last month on my computer. For the price of roughly $165. But since January of this year I have still been experiencing problems that are under my original warranty. Having my Modem reformatted twice doesn't seem like they know what they are doing. Keeping my computer for two weeks at a time to workout issues that still keep occurring.

Sincerely,

Walter Matthews
