Gateway Computer Corporation is indulging in "fraudulent operations" in the sale of their computers. We bought a NEW laptop. Came in damaged. Have had 5 computers (all new, or so they say) -- ALL 5 CRASHED in a period of 7 months. Have had the "use of" each computer for about 20 days each time. Crashes totally. Loses data. Can't be trusted.

After numerous horrid phone calls (no help), Gateway's idea of a warranty is to "fix or replace" and they don't even care if they EVER work. They will continue to do this for 3 years. Computer is worthless -- is a lemon. Won't REFUND. Won't let us TRADE to another model. Thus, we cannot sell it to anyone or use it. Have to toss in garbage can! ($3,000 worth of Gateway equipment).

THIS FRAUDULENT ACTIVITY IS RUNNING RAMPANT AND IS COMMON

PROCEDURE WITH GATEWAY AFTER YOU READ MANY OTHER SIMILAR

REPORTS. THIS IS FRAUD. GATEWAY IS HIDING BEHIND

THEIR "CYA WARRANTY" TO AVOID LAW SUITS. They will
continue to "fix and replace" until the warranty runs out - yeah!

This is down and out FRAUD, and Gateway IS getting away with this. Don't buy a Gateway - their warranty and service is horrible. Their equipment is "refurbished" or "refurbished parts" and you cannot be sure you are even getting NEW equipment at all. They simply do not care.

We are seniors and have never been treated so poorly. Gateway even sends computers in a flimsy cardboard box NOT marked Fragile! Once they have your money -- they have YOU! We entered into a contract with them for a NEW computer. THey have our money -- we have NOTHING!
