Gateway & Hurley State Bank ripoff tricked and lied to us Internet Worldwide
When i ordered my computer, i was never told that it would be financed through a credit card let alone at 24% interest. I have had my computer for four years and have still not paid it off.

I too bought a Gateway computer on August 30 2002. I bought mine in Memphis Tn. at a Gateway store. I too was not told about the computer being put on a credit card issued by Hurley State Bank.
I was sending in $100.00 a month and only about 10.00 a month was being taken off of my bill. I was told by the salesman that my payments would be about $65.00 a month. What I did was apply for a credit card that had 0 interest for 1 year and transfered my balance from Gateway to this card.
I will try to pay this off and if I can't before the interest of 0 percent runs out I will put the remaining balance on another card that has 0 interest. Try this and see if this will help you. I have learned that it is cheper to put a computer on a credit card that you already have then to put one on a credit card that Gateway will give you.
