Whatever you do if these cold callers call you. They trap you and say that you already have a listing with them and want to renew. I never signed and agreed to anything and yet I get an invoice in the mail for some absorbent amount. I called the customer service and they gave me the run around. Finally I spoke with someone and basically said that I was recorded with a verbal "yes" and that I could not cancel and it was already rendered. I said, I never signed anything and you do not have my signature of approval and again they said we have a verbal recording stating that you agreed to this. I know I never agreed to do anything without seeing atleast a page lay out.

Prior to all of this they kept calling me but with different people. I said I am cancelling this I did not approve and they said well we will send it to collections. So, I want to fight this. I am not even sure if they somehow twist things to get you to say yes to your birthday date and clip off what you are actually saying yes to or maybe that you are the owner.

I am very upset about this and I am not even sure if a recording can hold up in court withut you knowing you are being recorded. I was actually pleased to see that there are other innocent victims that have experienced the same situation and maybe there is hope that with enough people we can stop this scam. You need atleast 20 people to file a class action suit I think. If you have found a way to fight this or get out of it please let me know. These people are crooks and we need to stop them immediately!!!!

I just saw this report, and I must say I'm shocked.

Our company only deals with newer businesses opened within the last year.. how could we possibly tell anyone that they are renewing when their company hasn't been opened for a full year?

We obtain our lead information from the new business license databases provided publically by the local chamber of commerce. Your listing would have come to us since you registered a business in Orange County recently.

All of our calls are recorded for in-house quality control purposes to ensure that all sales made are made by authorized purchasers of the company and to make sure that no misrepresentation has taken place.

We are also more then willing to provide any recordings to the person in full if they doubt the legitamecy of the recording. Our recordings begin with the dialing of the companies number and ends with the hanging up of the phone. Our reps have no control over when the recording starts or finishes.

What I think happened here is a company ordered our product because they wanted to be listed on 60+ directories (including search engines such as Google, MSN, Yahoo and more), then saw an invoice of $349.95 for the entire year (pretty good deal i think??) which she was advised she would be receiving. Could it be she realized maybe her business wasn't doing so well this month and couldn't afford it?

Regardless, our company does not encourage issues such as these, and usually if a customer feels this passionate about not paying an annual invoice for $299.95 (after our $50.00 instant savings promotion currently running) for a package worth well over $1500.00 a month, our company will usually swallow up the costs and cancel the invoice.

In the future, please make sure that when you are on the phone with someone you are 100% sure about what you are ordering.. in this case it seems the owner was very distracted and just likes to order products and/or services without paying attention.

Putting the blame on our company just to make yourself look better will not get you anywhere. We are the BellYellowPageListings, with over 17,000,000 listings on our database, if you cant find the business, it probably doesn't exist... and now with our new *On-Sepp (Business Optimization Department) , people can search on over 65 different directories to find you.

We encourage anyone who has a similar issue like this to please contact Customer Support to deal with any issues you may have.
