I purchaces some memory from a Gateway store in Mission Valley using a $50 gift card and the rest on a debit card. It did not work in my pc so I returned it. The store manager processed my return for the full amount and said nothing about the gift card, even though I had my original receipt and it clearly showed it was purchased with a gift card. I gladly said thank you and went on my to to another store where I was able to pruchase the correct memory.

2 days passed and the announcement came out about closing all of the Gateway stores. I thought to myself that must have been why the store manager processed the return for the full amount as the gift card was useless.

One month passed and finally there is a credit on my card for the return less the $50.00. What a rip-off! I now have no one to go back to, I've tried calling Gateway with no success, finally I have emailed them only to receive an automated response. What a crooked company I will never buy anything from Gateway ever again.

As a person who has worked in customer service for large companies some situations do accure that seem to be the fault of the company. Well with big companies there are growing pains and sometimes customers do fall between the cracks. I've seen worse scenarios than this one so please stop your wining you spoiled s**t.
