Complaint Review: GC Capital LLC Geoffrey Caruso

Because of Geoffrey Caruso, I am now a worn out, sad, disgusted, broke, grad student with a newborn baby. 

I, despite all my common sense, emptied my savings account to lend to my THEN boyfriend "broker/entrepreneur" $35,000 that would produce $3 million dollars in profits for purpose of paying for two appraisal/loan processing fees that Geoffrey Caruso of GC Capital on behalf of an asset loan that would have made myself, my boyfriend, and our growing family a secure financial future.

I sat and watched my boyfriend on the phone talk through each and every stage of this fake loan process illustrated by Geoffrey Caruso.  I am honeslty disgusted at what has taken place over the last five months.

To sum things up, my boyfriend's clients were suppose to receive a loan on behalf of hard assets.  From start to finish, the entire process should have only taken a few weeks.  At a few weeks in, I questioned my boyfriend about the progress of the loan, to which he replied that Caruso had not yet even sent out an appraiser.  I, being the natural skeptic went and decided to play detective. To start things off a simple google search reveals that the LOI that was given to my boyfriend had an address that indeed existed, but GC Capital was NOT at that address.  Instead it was vacant and listed online.  I called a broker that represented the property posing as a prospective tenant, and found out this company, GC Capital was never there.  My boyfriend was in denial, figuring I had been misinformed, so we decided  to send a courier there to deliver a message and the courier company then confirmed my speculation and reported back that the company indeed was not located on Park ave in Manhattan. 

When my boyfriend confronted Mr. Caruso with this information, Caruso hastily appologized and said that he forgot to mention that GC Cap had just moved locations.  When asked where the new office is Caruso danced around the issue stating that he wants to remain anonymous and didn't want to give out that new information.  RED FLAG ANYONE?  I told my boyfriend that this guy is fake, and that he needed to get my money back asap and for some reason, my boyfriend gave him the benefit of the doubt. HUGE MISTAKE.

The $35,000 that I loaned to my boyfriend was suppose to cover appraisal fees for his clients' loans.  I have seen my boyfriend pay for appraisal fees before that did in fact end with a deal that closed for profit.  To make a long story short, we went through 3 months of calls back and forth.  And evenso, after all of that, there are still (6 months later) no appraisals.

We heard every excuse under the sun from "my appraiser is out of the country, she is at a funeral, I'm at a funeral (3 or more times I lost count), I'm on my jet, she is unreachable," etc.   My boyfriend offered to find his own appraiser and Geoffrey said that he only trusts one appraiser in the whole wide world.  Who is this mystery woman?  I urged my boyfriend to get the appraiser's name and company and SURPRISE, Caruso was unwilling to give up that information too.  At this point, I'm mad at Caruso, and even more pissed at my boyfriend for believing this guy.  Keep in mind, the whole entire loan process was only suppose to take 4-5 weeks.  We were into the 16th week and STILL no appriasal.

I begged my boyfriend to cease and desist, and get our funds back the moment I discovered that Caruso wasn't at the listed address, but my boyfriend assured me that Caruso would surely come through.  He was holding out with hope.  So, here I was, I was expecting a new child, I don't take risks, I work hard and I'm in school trying to forge a new path for myself, but some mystery man hiding behind the phone is stringing us along and my boyfriend doesn't see it.  Each and every time my boyfriend would call Geoffrey, he was assured that the appraiser would arrive soon.  After a few more months, I managed to convince my bf to cease and decist.  He would be reporting Geoffrey to every forum/agency including the SEC, FBI, IRS white collar crime unit and the NY district attorney, if not him, then I would. 

I overheard EVERY conversation between mister Caruso and my boyfriend on the phone.  Sometimes caruso would be calm, other times, he would call screaming.  Things were becoming contentious.  He assured my boyfriend that he would have my money back in a few days.  That day came and went. 

Caruso creatively came up with a new way to stall my boyfriend by threatening to sue him for "Libel" and for "harrassment" all because we wanted our money back and that he will "drag this out in court for YEARS and ruin your reputation".  He mentioned that his family knows the owners of google and that our report will be pulled off the internet immediately".  Sorry mister Caruso, I will post each and every day over and over and over and over again until the whole world knows exactly who you are and what you are doing.  I hope you're reading this because you are a FRAUDSTER. 

It is my opinion that Caruso doesn't even have a pot to piss in.  After another 5 weeks, I gave birth to my first son, with no money, as I loaned it to my boyfriend in hopes to make money from the deal that we would all benefit from.  

After weeks and weeks of desperately begging for our money back, all caruso could do is muster up a measley $300 sent via Western Union in disguise. OMGGGG Are you kidding me? This is the guy who supposedly has his own Private Jet, Butlers, and is able to pay rent on a Park ave address (which btw is about $30k a month ) can lend hundreds of millions of dollars, yet he cannot even pay back 1 Percent of the original $35,000?  A slap in the face, really. 

I shamefully had to take a loan from my father, to help us survive this month and purchase baby clothes, diapers, and furniture for the nursury, etc.  This experience with Caruso and GC Capital is the worst nightmare for ME and my boyfriend. Never in my life would I ever think I would be a single mother, with no savings, literally living off my parents.   I have seen my boyfriend work with hundreds of lenders, and private banks,  close small deals, make his investors money,  and make money for himself.  This was suppose to be my chance to cash in on it too.  Yet I have not seen any money and have never seen such fraud, this is something out of a hollywood movie.  He needs to be put behind bars, in prison alongside Bernie Maddof.

If Caruso has anymore clients either current or prospective, and you are reading this, you need to cease all communication and report him to your local authories immediately.  Since finishing my last semester at school, I now have the time to gather more information to file an official report to the FBI, SEC, and Attorney General.  You will definitely never see your money back.  I urge you to report him to the authorities, mentioned above immediatley!!!  I sincerely hope you are not taken advantage of just as we have been.
