GC Services harassment fraudulent debt collecting practices ripoff Columbus Ohio
GC Services contacted me on April 20th 2004 at 8:48 pm. The rep told me she worked with the Federal Government, and she threatened that the Government would "come after me" if I did not cooperate fully with her.
She told me that I was in default on my student loan, and that since it was federally funded, the Feds would not hesitate to come after me. She then proceeded to tell me that she was trying to help me, and there was a couple of programs that would help me clear up this problem.
I asked her about the programs then she told me she needed some personal information which I provided. After I provided the information she told I did not qualify, and that all the personal information I gave her will be used against me.
She then proceeded to tell me I had to pay it back at X-amount per month. Which was an unreasonable amount I could not afford, and then told me I had a week to think about it.
The phone call lasted far beyond the 9 o'clock hour. She called me back again at 6:43 pm the very next day, then on 4-24-04 at 8:39 am, 9:00 am, 10:01 am and 1:41 pm so far. This is harassment is obviously harassment and deception.

GC services still harassing and making fraudulent claims.

Since I placed my report on this site, GC Services has not relented in calling, sometimes up to 4 times a day, over 40 times in the past few weeks. They have also contacted my father, and told him that he was listed as a responsible party on this account. He was never listed as any such thing except an emergency contact for the ITT Tech. It never ceases to amaze me just how mush these people lie to try to get money out of people. If any one wants to file a class action suit against this company, count me in. They have violated my rights under the fair debt collection practices act of 1996. I will soon file a complaint against them with the fair trade commission.It appears that many people have been have the same or similar problems with this company. Its high time they get theirs.
