Purchased a GE microwave from a local appliance store on 1/17/12 (in the intesrest of buying american brand) this turned out to be a huge mistake!  The unit failed to heat at all by 2/28/12. We contacted the local retailer www.homeappliancecorp.com on 2/28/12. The retailer took no responsibility and directed me to GE directly.

After weeks of back and forth, GE admitted there were some challenges with this model JES1142SP1SS "Not Heating error code" they sent out a tech and we waited an addtional week for response.

Outcome- GE has finally agreed to issue credit good ONLY for another GE appliance. Needless to say after reading several reports of home fires starting with thier Microwave, do not wish to have ANY GE appliance in my household.
