 Originally had a walmart store card was offered a Walmart discover card with a higher limit so we accepted. We paid the remaining bill on the store card because we were in the market to purchase a home. So about a month later we get a call saying we were behind on the store card bill which we argued and argued was not correct. Again we didn't need anything negative on the report so we paid $25 it and urged them to review the account. The next month we receive another call from GE/ Synchrony Bank saying we were late again and this time we needed to pay $47 so we paid again and urged a review of the account. The next day I checked the account and the payment of $47 had been applied as a purchase plus another $47 had been added for a total of $94 plus interest had been applied to our account. On top of that a balance of $394 had been transferred to our discover card, which was the $362 paid on the store card plus the $25 phone payment plus interest. So we call and complain to no avail. So I file a BBB Complaint nothing is done.

The next month we receive another call I warn them that we are paying a bill that doesn't exist and they continually harrass us for no reason. We are warned if we don't pay it will report as a late payment on our credit so again we had to pay $47 and the following day when I check the account the same thing happened. A purchase of $94 had been applied to our account plus interest. How can we be charged for a 0 for a payment? So call and call still no assistance from anyone. I type up a civil suit against them and fax it over to show them that I am serious about this matter. They right us back saying we have found an error and we have charged your account they changed our balance from $1000 to over $1800 outstanding forcing us to go into our account and make a payment. Not sure how many know how closing works but banks are really picky about what happens with your credit and also your money during htis period . So with these payments being  incorrectly applied as a debit this raises our debt to credit ratio due to their greed. I continue to inform them they are incorrect.

The next day I file a complaint with the CFPB and the following week they change the balance in there system by over $1300 but we are 30 days away from closing and now we are stuck with this interest rate due to the negative reporting and incorrect reporting on their behalf. NO ONE THERE CARES and they write in the letter we will wave the $53.25 interest your account accrued over this period. Can you believe the nerve of these people. I have been calling for months to get assisatance and they have flat our refused and now they have caused finanacial damages to my household. I am seeking to sue them for harrassment , theft by deception, FCRA violations.
