My dog almost died. I took him to a veterinary clinic that stated they would not work on him unless I signed up for GE CARE CREDIT.

Another lady came in with her dog who just had puppies. She used to do resque work. The vet asked her to co-sign for this card. She said she no longer did rescue and would not sign for this.

I received the bill, I called and let customer service know that the billing was incorrect. That the lady that was also listed on my bill, had brought her dog in the same night and would not co-sign for this bill.

I can not pay a bill that is incorrect. Customer service promised if I made a payment they would take her name off the Billing statement. I had them do an electronic debit out of my account for aprox. 128 dollars.

They started harrasing me at home and at work. They called me on 8/20/03, 8/22/03, 8/24/03, 8/31/03, 9/03/03, 9/19/03. I let them know I paid in good faith and Customer service stated they would take her name off the billing statement and look into the dollar amount.

I received a call from GE collection agency TC Services I spoke to a Caralyna Macis and let her know I had talked to a Supervisor At GE Card Capital named Pame on 9/19/03. Pam requested I put it in writing and fax the complaint to her, which I tried but Pam gave me the wrong fax number(disconnected)so I mailed the complaint to GE claims dept on 9/19/03 also requesting a copy of the contract that was sign by the lady and I, as of 11/17/03 I still have not received a copy of this said contract. Pam also informed me it didn't matter who's name is attached to this bill I was going to pay it one way or another.

GE Card Services have called my house looking for this lady they keep calling her my partner. My fiance has explained to them on several occassions there is no one here by that name.

I have a minor child at home they call five or six times in one night sometimes and scare my child.

On 10/17/03 I received another call from GE Care collections Agency CHristian Colon I let him know I was looking for an attorney(I still haven't found one yet). I explained everything I have gone through, He stated he would remove my work number from their phone lists and only call me at home.

On 10/27/03 GE Services Called me at work Javier Gabea Supervisor states We will ruin your credit pay the bill it doesn't matter who's name is on it. I have stated all along to every customer service person who has called. Take this lady's name and billing amount off my billing statement and I will pay the original amount less the amount deducted from my account and I will not pay any of the interest on the card because of the wrong name on the card and they still will not remove the name and dollar amount if any from my account. Now My work number is on their automated phone system.

On 11/17/03 their automated service called me at 11:00am (I hung up I was on the phone with a customer), they called back at 11:10 am (i hung up again, still on phone with customer)11:23 am (I hung up again, still in the middle of phone call with customer)

I have left messages with a couple of Lawyers, and I have emailed the BBB. At this point I don't know what else to do. If anyone can help, please let me know.

It has been reported, when there are thousands of complaints and other investigations underway by authorities, the BBB has no choice but to finally give an UNsatisfactory rating to a BBB member business that is paying the BBB big membership fees every year. When a business is reported that is NOT a BBB member, BBB files WILL more likely show an UNsatisfactory rating, then reportedly shake down that company to become a member of the BBB. One positive thing about the BBB is, either way, if a business has an unsatisfactory rating with the BBB, you can be sure, the business is bad. #2Consumer Suggestion

GE wouldn't have the other lady's charges on your bill unless the vet told them to do it. So the vet is crooked, or at least badly mistaken. You can't be sure if the other lady didn't actually co-sign. But even if she did, she couldn't add any charges without your permission since you're the primary signer. Again, the vet is either crooked or made a big mistake. The other lady is apparently nowhere to be found if GE is asking you where she is. She owes GE for the work on her dog, unless the vet got paid twice for it.

By the time a collection agency is calling you, your credit is already ruined. You need to proceed carefully to restore your credit and pay only what you owe. The next step would seem to be to demand a copy of the contract from GE by certified mail so they can't ignore it. Also you have the right to demand they stop calling you alltogether and do business only in writing. Don't pay anything until you have a promise in writing for something in return. Figure out exactly what happened at the vet while you weren't looking and confront them with it.
