Complaint Review: GE Capital Consumer Co.

GE Capital Consumer Card Co. is a major ripoff and I suggest than no one ever use them for your credit card needs. I had made 6 consecutive payments, all on time and above the minimum balance. I lost my job for three months,

I contacted GE and notified them that I was out of work and that I was not able to make my payment which was $105.00. The customer service rep told me that they could do nothing for me and that they would have to assess late fees and any other fees associated. Meanwhile I was receiving multiple calls telling asking me to make a payment.

I called GE and told them that I wanted to make some type of payment. I was told that if I paid $200.00 right now over the phone that my account would be " As Agreed," and that I would have all negative marks removed from my credit report.

The customer service rep lied to me. They never removed my negative marks. I called and complained and they told me "tough" and that I was misled by the customer service rep.

My balance has increase by over $700.00 in those three months. I have paid them over $1500.00 in the last year and my balance has only increased. They are a d**n ripoff!!!
