Complaint Review: GE Capital Retail Bank

GE Capital Retail Bank Closing of my account with Belks Myrtle Beach Nationwide

 Payment was made, by phone, through Belk's automated system.  Was advised, past the due date, that the account could not be located at the bank.  Called, spoke with a representative, and she stating the error would be corrected, and the late charge removed.  Their automated system did not pick up the last two digits of my new banking number.  Today, received notice from GE Capital Bank, in Florida, that because of a "number" of dishonored payments my account had been closed.  I called, and was informed this was correct.  No fault of mine, but what a way to do business.  Have another account administered by GE, and will close that one on my own.  As far as I'm concerned, GE is definitely a ripoff, and want nothing further to do with them.
