Ge Money Bank change monthly min. due after contract was signed,late charge of 40 for 1 day late Orlando Florida
Was charged a 40 dollar late fee because labor day is on the first day of month and I made the payment on the second,also made payment on the 26th for following month and they wrote it up for Sept and charged me another late fee for my October payment.
Have contacted them they will remove the Oct.late fee but just because labor day was on first and them closed and I made payment on 2nd they will not remove.
If I had known how they operated I never would have had my item I purchased financed thru them.
I am tring to get a personal loan somewhere else just to pay them off and be done with them!!!!!!!!!!!!

However - GEMB has a habit of not properly posting payments which violates the Fair Credit Billing Act.
If you sent the Oct payment and they mis-applied to Sept they are required to fix it - they won't of course - no matter what they tell you on the phone.
Be prepared for this battle to go on and on. When it does
File formal complaints with the Federal Trade Commission and Office of Thrift Supervision.
