A little over a year ago, I went to the dentist. I had insurance however with dental insurance you all know, it is almost like not having any. I needed a root canal and didnt have the cash available to complete the procedure. The ladies in the dentist office were very kind and suggested that I take the CareCredit Card. They told me no interest for one year...Nice I said..Thank You..well one year later rolls around, and I get the bill, it was double what I owed. I was angry and upset. How could they charge me interest on money I dont owe anymore? I could see having interest but this was totally insane. I called them and had words with the agent on the other end, who by the way, was no help at all. I refused to pay that charge.

A month later, I get another bill. 39.00 late fee....What ???? I called them to raise cain about it. Well they guy says, we didnt get your payment, but if you pay it now, we will take the late fee off. I agree...next month, 10.00 charge for making a payment...The company is a rip off and I am sure they are using our tax dollars to cheat us. They need to be shut down today. They are not honest, they are not doing anything to help the American Citizen, and I hate to think that my tax dollars are going to support a cheating, greedy bunch of liars at this bank.

GEMB - KNOWN SCAM

I have read hundreds of similar complaints about care credit and delayed processing of last payment, deliberately not processed until it is "late" so they can add late fees and interest for a full year - claiming you were in default.

Having a different issue with GEMB they also refused to address - I found help from the Office of Thrift Supervision.

If you can prove that you bank paid GEMB before the due date of your last payment - file complaints with the Federal Trade Commission and Office of Thrift Supervision

GEMB ignores valid complaints - unless they come from the Office of Thrift Supervision
